April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in the 7th grade, which ignited her interest. At the age of 12 She composed her debut single called Different. In her 14th year April was a big devotee of her time to writing and practicing songs. Then she began to take trips to write with father in NY in New York and LA. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with concerns like peer pressure disabilities, and even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart has her own following and works as a lifestyle blogger at the well-known Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. The truth is that she was born with no left hand, and it makes her unique. But this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not cover up her disability, but it does not just focus on it. What is the message? There is more to us than the physical person we are. The identities we have are complex and include a myriad of elements. Lockhart in a video messages from his Nashville home, states I don't want my physical appearance to define myself. I'm much far more than just my physical self. It doesn't impact my daily activities. I conduct the same way as I always do and have come up with my own ways to adapt. Because it's part of who I am and something worthy of discussion. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is an absolute inspiration on that front. She has gone through phases where she felt uncomfortable in wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she likes. She also posts her photos on social media. Self-love for her was always a lengthy journey. It's true for all, no matter what their levels of anxiety. It is important to have people around you who are aware of and can relate to you. They will be the ones who ask your: What are you fret about?
