Katherine Heigl admits that she was brought up in a white bubble and how this experience impacted how she raised adopted multiracial kids. In an interview, she said in the past that when it comes to skin color there is no difference. After speaking with her adopted sister in South Korea she realized just the way society views them. "I wanted to know Meg how she was different when she went out with us parents than the times she was out on her own. She answered, "Oh yeah, always!" This made me realize I was naive," Heigl said to her parents. Her anger grew, and she decided to channel her anger into help her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son of four years with Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is an Black 8-year old girl that they adopted in 2012.
